While CNN celebrates it’s 40th anniversary, we think it’s more important to reflect on a more signifigant moment. In 1988 James Brown appeared on CNN to promote his South American tour in the midst of facing charges over a domestic dispute. He donned some really cool, extremely large yellow shades and was definitely under the influence of something at the time. Maybe you be the judge? Most of his answers to the questions he’s asked are the titles of his songs, go figure. From “Living in America” and “I Feel Good” to “Papa’s Got a Brand New Bag” the titles of his body of work strangely also double as answers to the questions he’s asked.
